STLVS Standard
- The State of Sarawak has taken another step further to strengthen the implementation of STLVS on ground and the acceptance of our system internationally, especially among the buyers by developing the STLVS Standard whereby through this standard, the licensee may appoint any registered independent third party auditor to carry out audit to check the legality compliance toward the system.
- The standard reflects the regulatory requirements which include management of forest resources; community recognition and benefits; environmental protection and traceability of material from the forest to the mill and/or export point.
- The licensee will be issued with Statement of Compliance by the third party independent auditor and the relevant agencies depending on which principle they are been audited, Forest Department Sarawak (FDS) or Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) will issue Certificate of Compliance to the licensee as an evidence that the company has complied with all criterion stipulated in the STLVS Standard based on the audit that had been carried out.
