A stemless palm up to 4m tall. Named after a retired Forest Guard, Encik Jugah Tagi of Sarawak Forest Department. Habitat: Along river banks in riparian forest. Distribution: Rare and endemic to Batang Balleh, Kapit Division. Note: Very rare and threatened species.
