Tree up to 75m tall and 200cm diameter. Habitat: Occasional, but scattered in mixed dipterocarp forest on well-drained, clay soils, mainly on lower slopes of low hills up to 400m above sea level. Distribution: Throughout Sarawak. Note: It is the largest and tallest species in the Bornean forest; the tall tree is a nice perch for bee-hives.
